TOOLS

SAW

Is a tool consisting of a tough bladewire, or chain with a hard toothed edge. It is used to cut through material, very often wood though sometimes metal or stone. The cut is made by placing the toothed edge against the material and moving it forcefully forth and less forcefully back or continuously forward. This force may be applied by hand, or powered by steamwaterelectricity or other power source. An abrasive saw has a powered circular blade designed to cut through metal or ceramic.

My experience with the saw: I have used electric saws to cut wood logs for the fireplace, metal to restore cars.
Hand saw for aluminium in the practices of module 6 in Air Europa.

MULTIMETER
Is an electronic measuring instrument that combines several measurement functions in one unit. A typical multimeter can measure voltagecurrent, and resistance.

My experience with the multimeter: I have sometimes used it to check the correct functioning of particular areas of my car.

In electrical and electronic practices I have used it to measure resistances, capacitors etc.

SPEED HANDLE
A speed handle tool having a working end, an opposite end having a grip portion, and single offset crank handle, wherein said tool further comprises a ratchet drive secured to said working end.

My experience with this tool has only been to change the wheel of cars.

SOLDERING IRON
Is a hand tool used in soldering. It supplies heat to melt solder so that it can flow into the joint between two workpieces. A soldering iron is composed of a heated metal tip and an insulated handle.

My experience with this tool, at home I have done some experiments.
In the practices it has been used in electricity and electronics to solder the different elements in the printed circuits.

HAMMER
Consisting of a weighted "head" fixed to a long handle that is swung to deliver an impact to a small area of an object. This can be, for example, to drive nails into wood, to shape metal (as with a forge), or to crush rock. Hammers are used for a wide range of driving, shaping, and breaking applications.
I have used this tool many times in my life, but never against people... although sometimes I would have liked to hahaha.
In practice we only used the hammer to mark the pieces

ALLEN
The tool is usually formed of a single piece of hexagonal rod of hard steel, with blunt ends that are meant to fit snugly into the screw's socket, bent in an "L" shape with unequal arms. The tool is usually held and twisted by the long arm, creating a large torque at the tip of the short arm. Reversing the tool lets the long arm reach screws in hard-to-reach places.
I have also used this tool for many things, to assemble IKEA furniture on many occasions.
In the workshop practice it is used in many occasions always with measurements in inches.

SAFETY GLASSES
Are forms of protective eyewear that usually enclose or protect the area surrounding the eye in order to prevent particulates, water or chemicals from striking the eyes.
In workshop practice we should always wear safety glasses. Sometimes it's uncomfortable because they don't let you see 100%

EAR PLUGS
An earplug is a device that is inserted in the ear canal to protect the user's ears from loud noises, intrusion of water, foreign bodies, dust or excessive wind.
The experience with this protective material has only been when I wanted to sleep at night and there was too much noise when I lived in the neighborhood of Son Gotleu.

DRILL BITS
Are cutting tools used to remove material to create holes, almost always of circular cross-section. Drill bits come in many sizes and shapes and can create different kinds of holes in many different materials.
I have used this tool to make holes in the wall to hang pictures.
In the workshop practices we have used it to drill an aluminium cube.

MINI PLIERS
These are tools used for electrical and electronic equipment. Cutting, handling etc. As they are small parts, the tools are small too.
I have used these tools in electrical and electronic practices.

RATCHET
Incorporates a reversible ratcheting mechanism which allows the user to pivot the tool back and forth to turn its socket instead of removing and repositioning a wrench to do so.
This tool is very useful and is used often. I have used it on my car, with metric measurement and in the workshop practices with inch measurement.

WRENCH
A wrench that is used for gripping the nuts on the ends of tubes. It is similar to a box-end wrench but, instead of encircling the nut completely, it has a narrow opening just wide enough to allow the wrench to fit over the tube, and thick jaws to increase the contact area with the nut. This allows for maximum contact on plumbing nuts, which are typically softer metals and therefore more prone to damage from open-ended wrenches.
There are many kinds of wrenches: open-end wrench, box-end wrench, combination wrench (like a picture), flare-nut wrench, tube wrench, line wrench, ratcheting box wrench, adjustable end wrench Crescent wrench (never use in aviation) etc.
I have also used this tool to fix my car and in the workshop practices.

SCREWDRIVER
Is a tool, manual or powered, used for screwing (installing) and unscrewing (removing) screws. A typical simple screwdriver has a handle and a shaft, ending in a tip the user puts into the screw head before turning the handle
I have used this tool for many things, for my car, for my house, I like tools very much, so I have used almost all of them almost always.
In the workshop they are very used tools.

TOOLS BOX
The box where the tools are stored.
In the workshop practices, each one has his toolbox with his number and his lock.
You have to be very careful not to lose any tools as this could lead to an accident.
