TURBOCOMPRESSOR disassembly.

This week Sergio and me we was disassembly the turbocompressor.

The turbocompressor is a pneumatically driven compartment air pressurizating unit consisting of a turbine powered centrifugal compressor equipped with controls, sensors, regulators and valves.

The turbocompressor mechanically transfer the energy of engine bleed air into a fresh air pressurizing force. High pressure high temperature bleed air supplied to the turbine drivers the turbocompressor. Ambient air drawn into the compressor is compressed into high pressure air of proper weight flow to pressurize the aircraft cabin and flight compartment


My personal Week

In the week I burned all the dry summer grass!! I love fire 🔥!!! My cat accompanied me, she always comes with me everywhere!! 


This Saturday I went to the bike from Costitx to Marratxí for help to restore a DC3 in the aerodrome of Son Bonet. Then I had to call a friend because I got a puncture in the front wheel of my bike 😩


This Sunday I went to the mountains, one of the hardest routes in Mallorca, Puig del Tomir (1103 meters), but is so beautifull!!!


I use Strava for calculate my routes, kilometers, time, altitude etc, however, sometimes this application fault so I dont know how many time and kilomters  I have done.

In my next mountain clinbing, each weekend in winter, I will go to use another application, in this case, Google fit and I'll tell you if it went well or badly.

D-CHECK

Aircraft maintenance   checks are periodic inspections that have to be done on all commercial and civil aircraft after a certain amount of time or usage. Military aircraft normally follow specific maintenance programmes which may, or may not, be similar to those of commercial and civil operators The D check, sometimes known as a "heavy maintenance visit" (HMV), is by far the most comprehensive and demanding check for an airplane. This check occurs approximately every 6-10 years. It is a check that more or less takes the entire airplane apart for inspection and overhaul. Even the paint may need to be completely removed for complete inspection of the fuselage metal skin. Such a check can generally take up to 50,000 man-hours, and 2 months to complete depending on the number of technicians involved. It also requires the most space of all maintenance checks, and as such must be performed at a suitable maintenance base. JET ENGINE

TURBOJET The basic componets are still the compressor, combustor, and turbine. The turbojet gets its propulsive power from reaction to the flow of hot gases. Air enters the inlet and ts pressure is increased by the compressor. Fuel is added in the combustor and the expansion created by heat forces the turbine wheel to rotate. The turbine in turn drives the compressor. The energy remaining downstream of the turbine in the tailpipe accelerates into the atmosphere and creates the reaction we refer to as thrust. TURBOFAN The turbofa, in effect, is a ducted, multi-blade propeller driven by a gas turbine engine. This fan procedures a pressure ratio on the order of 2:1 or two atmospheres of compression. Generrally, turbofan contain 20 to 40 fixed pitch blades. They were developed to provide a compromise between the best features of the turbejet type cruise speed capability and yet retains some of the short field takeoff capability of the  turboprop.
