MY DAILY WEEK SIX

 


This week we removed and installed the started generator.... The starter generator is permanently engaged with the engine shaft through the necessary drive gears, while the direct cranking starter must employ some means of disengaging the starter from the shaft after the engine has started.

Because is a electric practice, We have checked the continuity of the started generator to the corresponding pin of the connector, through the wiring diagram, with the multimeter FLUKE!!! 


This is the best multimeter of the word!!! And the most expensive too!!! One of the cables had no continuity and I had to cut, crimp in two areas and put a new connector. Then when I tightened the nuts, I broke a stud 😑... But I made an arrangement.  In this practices the whole team worked very well!!! I'm very happy!!! This week, they conducted a civil aviation audit and did not find any fault with the center. The workers asked Jaume and me, we both answered very well!


With respect to my personal weekend.... Well... Saturday I went to the bicycle from Costitx to Palmanyola!! Approximately 30-35 km


And on Sunday I went to the mountains 🌄 again, with my French friend. It's one of my favorite sports.

BOEING 737  My favourite aircraft has always been the Boeing 737, the quintessential Boeing model. It has beautiful aesthetics, perfect lines like an eagle. D-CHECK

Aircraft maintenance   checks are periodic inspections that have to be done on all commercial and civil aircraft after a certain amount of time or usage. Military aircraft normally follow specific maintenance programmes which may, or may not, be similar to those of commercial and civil operators The D check, sometimes known as a "heavy maintenance visit" (HMV), is by far the most comprehensive and demanding check for an airplane. This check occurs approximately every 6-10 years. It is a check that more or less takes the entire airplane apart for inspection and overhaul. Even the paint may need to be completely removed for complete inspection of the fuselage metal skin. Such a check can generally take up to 50,000 man-hours, and 2 months to complete depending on the number of technicians involved. It also requires the most space of all maintenance checks, and as such must be performed at a suitable maintenance base. JET ENGINE

TURBOJET The basic componets are still the compressor, combustor, and turbine. The turbojet gets its propulsive power from reaction to the flow of hot gases. Air enters the inlet and ts pressure is increased by the compressor. Fuel is added in the combustor and the expansion created by heat forces the turbine wheel to rotate. The turbine in turn drives the compressor. The energy remaining downstream of the turbine in the tailpipe accelerates into the atmosphere and creates the reaction we refer to as thrust. TURBOFAN The turbofa, in effect, is a ducted, multi-blade propeller driven by a gas turbine engine. This fan procedures a pressure ratio on the order of 2:1 or two atmospheres of compression. Generrally, turbofan contain 20 to 40 fixed pitch blades. They were developed to provide a compromise between the best features of the turbejet type cruise speed capability and yet retains some of the short field takeoff capability of the  turboprop.
