SEXUAL DISCRIMINATION

Frequently women are discriminated in the aviation world, because unfortunately this world is mostly for men. We live in a country psychologically structured in deeply rooted ideas, Spain, but it also applies to most countries. In Muslim countries, it is even worse, they are still at the stone age. But for a supposedly developed country, in terms of the equality of women in the workplace, there is much to be improved here. Society makes us believe that feminine tastes differ greatly from masculine tastes. Since childhood we are taught that pink is for girls and blue is for boys, ads on television show us dolls for girls and cars or construction games for boys. Since these ideas are instilled to us since we are young, in the end, we are raised with the conviction that we women will not like jobs like car mechanics, or in this case, airplane mechanics. I may not be able to do much, but I am sure that I can be an example for many women. Furthermore I hope that in the near future, th...

GRAN TORINO

He dies, but on the other hand, he was already dying.  So it was very smart to die that way.  With the protagonist's plan, the criminals went to jail and the problem was over.  If he had killed them, the problem would have continued because of family reprisals, and the protagonist would have gone to jail.  It was a heroic way to die. The truth is that the original ending of the movie is the smartest.  As I like happy endings, I would have liked that the protagonist had recovered from his illness, that the criminals had died after a long torture for what they did to the cousin and that everyone would be happy I honestly do not know what else to explain about the end of the movie since its explanation is not extensive enough to reach the words required by the blog post.  And I also don't have much imagination about another ending.  I try to think of more things .... If I can think of them, I'll put them on the blog.

THE FREEDOM DIARIES

First, I could not finish the movie.... But my partner Marc has told me. What do I think about the film?  Who wants can. I know it from my own experience. What do I think is the best way to learn? The best way to learn is to want to learn, but there is no obligation. The vocation and the way of teaching the teacher is very important. Choose any subject you have and write a small lesson plan to show how you would teach that lesson in particular. For this course it would be easy to teach how to fly airplanes. We are all aviation lovers, supposedly. I would need very little to get the attention of the group. Anyway, I would never teach, I have no patience.

AIR FLORIDA FLIGHT 90

The Pilot used the reserve thrust, normally used as a braking system when aircraft lands....  They should never be used before take off in wintry conditions for one simple reason, the reverses redirect the jet of hot air heaving the back of the engines towards the front of the aircraft. This can shoot acloud of slush onto the wing and into the engine inlets in sub-zero temperature the slush can refreeze within minutes. The used of reverse thrust is further evidence snow or ice could have caused the disaster. The lift an aircraft need to is created as mooth flow of air over the wings, a layer of ice or frozen snow, creates a disruption which can reduce lift an increased drag dramatically.  For me, the hero was Lenny Skutnik, he rescued a survivor in a totally altruistic and supportive way.

TYPES OF AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE

Aircraft maintenance is divided into two sections called 'Scheduled Maintenance' and 'Unscheduled Maintenance'. Standard scheduled maintenance is further divided into three types of checks called: A Checks C Checks D Checks The A Check Usually carried out every eight to 10 weeks, filters will be changed, key systems (like hydraulics in the ‘control surfaces’ that steer the aircraft) will be lubricated and a detailed inspection of all the emergency equipment (like inflatable slides) is completed. A typical A Check on B737 takes between six and 24 hours. The C Check Happens every 18 months to two years or 1,800 flight hours, or 2,000 cycles (depending on type of aircraft) and takes three weeks. C checks can be further subdivided into C1, C2, C3, and C4 where the level of maintenance increases. During C Check, in-depth systems checks, inspection for corrosion, cracks, structural defects, in depth lube of all fittings and cables are carried out. The D Ch...
