OXIGEN SYSTEM ATA 35 This week we have been working with the oxygen system, we have removed the oxygen cylinder from the 680V turbocommander.  You have to be very careful with oxygen as it is very dangerous and any contamination with grease could cause an explosion 💥 The practice with the oxygen cylinder was quite fast, so we did another more fun and real work. We checked the emergency exit ramp of a Boeing 737 for leaks with a special non-greasy leak detector soap, shake the bottle very hard to create a lot of foam, we will put the foam that has been created in the areas susceptible to leakage, such as the connections and if there are leaks, it will be detected quickly, the ramp must have air.  In this case, everything was correct, there were no leaks, so we continue introducing air into the ramp or slide.   Once the filling was complete, we were allowed to launch ourselves down the slide and it was great fun, I was the first to launch myself because my companions ...

DEICING BOOTS Deicing boots is a type of ice protection system installed on aircraft surfaces to permit a mechanical deicing in flight. Such boots are generally installed on the leading edges of wings and control surfaces (e.g. horizontal and vertical stabilizer) as these areas are most likely to accumulate ice and any contamination could severely affect the aircraft's performance. First we checked the boots of the 680V turbocommander were shattered, there were leaks everywhere. We did the test by inserting compressed air through the pipe that supplies air to the boots.  You can see in the video all the leaks in the boots!! Boots cannot be repaired Because Sergio and I worked pretty fast, Jose Maria, our practice instructor, offered to test the system on the cessna, this plane is newer, so it didn't have as many leaks and could be repaired.  My personal week.... Moving again!!! 😓 The real estate situation in Mallorca is still difficult, the prices are still ...

MY DAILY WEEK TEN

Wing and Stabilizer Deicing Systems  Aircraft and turboprop commuter-type aircraft often use a pneumatic deicing system to break off ice after it has formed on the leading edge surfaces. The leading edges of the wings and stabilizers have inflatable boots attached to them. The boots expand when inflated by pneumatic pressure, which breaks away ice accumulated on the boot. Most boots are inflated for 6 to 8 seconds. They are deflated by vacuum suction. The vacuum is continuously applied to hold the boots tightly against the aircraft while not in use. We did a troubleshooting of the deicing boots. We disconnected the distribution valve pipe and introduced pressurized air with a hose connected to the workshop's pneumatic system.  The result was that the boots had huge leaks everywhere, there were many old repairs and almost all of them had jumped. MY DAILY WEEK NINE

 This week we have done the practice Wiper Electrical Motor (Turbocommder 680V)  With the Wiring Diagram (up picture), we have done a function test. The Wiper electrical motor consists of an electrical motor, a flexible drive shaft assembly, a converter assembly, and an amr and blade assembly. The system operates from 29 volt DC power throught a three position windshield wiper swith. The Wiper electrical motor has three 3-ohm resistors to protect the system, placed between two wires, one of which is the ground wire. The Wiper electrical motor installed to the right of aircraft centerline just after of the forward pressure bulkhead. My personal weekend has been full of food!! MY DAILY WEEK EIGHT

  Assembly/dissasembly Valve Solenoid Turbocommander 680V. The work was quite simple, so we finished it in a short time. Solenoid valves are used to close, open, dose, distribute or mix the flow of gas or liquid in a pipe.  The truth is that Sergio and I form a good team, we are very fast and effective. The next task was to Assembly/dissasembly the landing gear, it was also a fairly easy and quick task.  My personal weekend was a little stressful because I have moved to Llucmajor to an old woman's house, I have to take care that she takes her medication in the morning and at night and three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, an ambulance comes for her, to take the old woman to dialysis. In exchange for looking after her, I don't have to pay rent, so until I finish studying, I will have to live with her, although I like living alone and having freedom much better.  My cat move with my of course!!!   TURBOCOMPRESSOR disassembly. This week Sergio and me we was disassembly the turbocompressor. The turbocompressor is a pneumatically driven compartment air pressurizating unit consisting of a turbine powered centrifugal compressor equipped with controls, sensors, regulators and valves. The turbocompressor mechanically transfer the energy of engine bleed air into a fresh air pressurizing force. High pressure high temperature bleed air supplied to the turbine drivers the turbocompressor. Ambient air drawn into the compressor is compressed into high pressure air of proper weight flow to pressurize the aircraft cabin and flight compartment My personal Week In the week I burned all the dry summer grass!! MY DAILY WEEK SIX

  This week we removed and installed the started generator.... The starter generator is permanently engaged with the engine shaft through the necessary drive gears, while the direct cranking starter must employ some means of disengaging the starter from the shaft after the engine has started. Because is a electric practice, We have checked the continuity of the started generator to the corresponding pin of the connector, through the wiring diagram, with the multimeter FLUKE!!!  This is the best multimeter of the word!!! And the most expensive too!!! One of the cables had no continuity and I had to cut, crimp in two areas and put a new connector. Then when I tightened the nuts, I broke a stud 😑... But I made an arrangement.  In this practices the whole team worked very well!!! I'm very happy!!! This week, they conducted a civil aviation audit and did not find any fault with the center.
